Excellent scope - Vortex Razor HD Gen II 1-6x24mm Rifle Scope

This is an excellent scope in every respect. The glass is fantastic, the reticle is very useful and intuitive (I got the MOA version, get whichever you're used to), the illuminated dot is bright and fully visible in full daylight, the controls are easy to use, and did I mention the glass is excellent? The only bad thing about it is the weight: at 25 ounces it's a brick, but the extra weight shows in the quality of the glass, so it's just a matter of whether it's worth it for the application you have in mind. It is extremely well-built and well-machined, this is definitely a duty-grade scope. I would recommend getting a Switchview Throw Lever (the Vortex SV-3 or any one with a similar diameter) to make the magnification adjustment quicker and easier - the ring is a little stiff. It's easy to run with both eyes open on 1X, maybe a tiny bit harder than a quality red dot but only just barely, and the tradeoff for the magnification as well as the brightness of the image in low light is more than worth it.
