Exceeds my expectation

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on April 8, 2013
I bought this after buying and returning two of the new Bushnell tactical monoculars. The R/T functions best as a compact spotting scope. Glassing Bino's are the better option, but to get the better detail or call corrections on shots these excel. These serve as a bridge between binos and a full size spotting scope. Much more convenient for static shooting positions (bench or prone). Easy to call corrections for other shooters or making my own scope adjustments when shooting my 1-4 AR for sighting in. All in all, it is not for everyone, but it is more of a bridge optic.
Pros: Size, easy of carry, durability, warrenty, quality, clarity, and light gathering ability.
Cons: Does not replace a spotting scope or bino's, more of a compromise between the two.

Recon Ranging Tachtical 10x50

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on February 13, 2012
Excellent quality, but found hard to focus with one hand because tight seals. I think would want hand free for a weapon. Prefer the Viper RT binocular instead, may only use one barrel to keep other eye on sights.
Kill flash noticable in low light so remove in that case.
Pros: Clear optics good FOV and low light. Expandable and flexible.
Cons: Two-handed to hold and focus. OK for spotting but slow for stalking. Did not take into field though. Prefer small binos now.
