My only gripe is that the sunshade doesn't have the same outer diameter as the scope but it doesn't affect the usability at all

Vortex Viper Sunshade
Fast service! Made my Hart smokeless muzzleloader rig look much sharper. It seems I’m always looking into the sun while getting a shot and this scope really helps to mitigate that. Make sure you double check the objective size on the vortex scopes before ordering.

Sunshade blocks sun glare
Fits nicely haven't used it at range just in yard quality machined flush fitting shade have other vortex sunshade on other scopes helps keep lens cleaner with shade on howa 1500 223 varment 20 inch bull barrel looks intimidating I'll buy more

Vortex 50mm sunshade.
Its Vortex. Lifetime, no question asked warranty.what more do you want? One thing though. This was for a 6.5-20×50 no sunshade included, my other one is 4-16×44 & it came with a sunshade.but the later did cost $20 more so maybe that's the difference. Anyway, great products.

Vortex At The Top
Optics Planet's website was extremely easy to navigate.... Check out was simple and fast. Received my sun shades in a very reasonable time. Fit was right on. I live in Arizona,lot of sun. These sun shades are made of good quality material. Very easy to install. Matched my Vortex Viper scope with no color shade difference no issues... My scope is now complete. Vortex sun shade does what it's intended to do and looks great. Will buy more as needed,,,,

target shooting use is fine
Got this for target shooting and works well. Just wish it was the same size as the scope Bell but works for what I needed it to do. Don’t think you will like it if you are picky but matches up finish wise with the scope

Poor attention to details by Vortex
This shade will do what it was intended for, block the sun, but the Vortex labeling on the scope doesn't line up when tight and it's diameter is smaller than the 50 mm housing of the scope. So if you want to be pissed off everytime you pick up your rifle, buy this sun shade. The leadership at Vortex has to be extremely disappointed at their efforts here or they just plain dont care. This is my first Vortex product and will be my last. To many other choices to put up with this poor design. If they can't get this right what else are they missing.

vortex sun shade
great sunshade but i didnt need it the scope i ordered came with one already and it wasnt stated anywhere in description that it came with one..... 3 star's because im still waiting on store credits past the 10 day turn around on returns.... and the guy i tried to talk to about everything was extremely rude to me.... so im not feeling real good about optics planet right now

Ok, but not great
I would like to reiterate what most have said about this sunshade. Any issues that I have with the shade are purely aesthetic. The outside diameter of the 44mm shade on my 6.5-20x50 Vortex Viper doesn't line up like my Leupold shades do on L's scopes. The shade is slightly off on the color, both are matte, but it is slightly off. The Vortex etching isn't even visible on mine. It's completely facing the barrel. Also, it is not threaded at the end to allow for stacking of more shades should that be something you desire. I would still recommend this product bc it functions as it should and seems to be well made, but my guess is that you could fine a shade that matches perfectly and costs the same or cheaper if you try.

Vortex Sun Shade
I purchased the vortex sun shade for an upgrade on my vortex scope. I received the sun shade in a just a few days. Great product for my long range Savage rife. I would recommend this product and install in a few minutes. Thanks again Optics Plant for a Great Product.
