I put this on an older Marlin 336 lever action that my Pap passed onto me, this scope along with the new ammo for the lever actions has made this my favorite gun to carry in the PA woods for deer season. I would recommend this brand of scope to anyone considering an upgrade to their rifles.
Pros:
- Clarity
- clarity, price and warranty
Cons:
- 2 years in I cannot think of one

Stout construction and clear optics. There are many good values in scopes at this price point but non offer the BDC reticle nor the Vortex brand name and warranty. Note that it has fixed parallax and close targets (25 yards or so) will be real fuzzy at 7x but are just fine at 2x.
Pros:
- Capped dials
- Clear optics.
- constuction
Cons:
- image sharpness at close range and high magnification

This my second Vortex scope. I mounted this scope on my Ruger 10/22 Takedown rifle. I used the UTG PRO Ruger 10/22 Picatinny Rail Mount with UTG 1" Low Pro LE Grade Picatinny QD Rings. This 2x7x35 is perfect for my 10/22. It's not too much magnification or too little. I have only been able to sight it in at 25 yards at an indoor range, but once the weather is better I will get outside and sight it in at 50 yards. The magnification adjustment ring and the eye focus adjustment ring are very smooth and easy to turn. With the scope mounted on the rifle, it will not fit into the takedown case. However, with the quick detach rings just pop it off and you're good to go. The takedown case has an extra pouch for the scope. And the scope will hold zero when reattached to the rifle. So, if you're looking for a high quality rimfire scope at a great price, go with Vortex. The Vortex warranty is the best out there, so you can't go wrong.

bought this scope to put on my 7mm-08 to use as a truck/brush gun, that i do not plan to shoot over 150-200 yards. scope is reasonably clear and easy to adjust. over all im happy with the scope. plus the V.I.P. warranty, it was an easy decision.

I purchased the Vortex Diamondback 2-7x35 scope as a cost effective solution for my Ruger Scout Rifle. I have not had the opportunity to take it to the range yet, but everything about it says that it is well built and will serve me well for my purposes with the rifle. I trust the reputation of Vortex and know that if there is ever any sort of problem I can contact them and i will have it taken care of. For the cost and the purpose of the scope, I could not be happier.

Spent a lot of time reviewing 2-7x scopes and narrowed the choices to two brands known for good quality. Ordered both for a side-by-side comparison. The Vortex stayed with me and the other one was returned! For me the clarity of glass and wide fov clinched the deal.
Mounted and range tested with 100 or so rounds. Had it on a pie plate first shot, then easily sighted in from there. Banged the 6" steel at 100 yards all afternoon. Good clarity, solid clicks, return to zero, BDC reticle, wide fov, no bs warranty, what's not to like!

Mounted on AR15. Very clear glass for the money. Holds zero. Eye relief is fine for low to medium recoil rifle. Love the BDC reticle. Will definitely buy more products from Vortex.
Pros: clear glass, dependable
Cons: none
