Good for the intended purpose. - Vortex Diamondback 1.75-5x32mm Rifle Scope, 1in Tube, Second Focal Plane

I bought this optic for a mini14. It took a fair bit of research and debate on a variable optic, prism, or red dot. My criteria for purchase were the optic had to be decent quality glass, lightweight, have magnification beyond 4 power, and affordable.

Things I like about the optic are crisp glass for its size. It weighs about as much as a prism scope in its class, but has adjustable magnification from 1.75 to 5 power, not as much as I'd like, but it met the budget. However, this optic is more of a duplex than a bdc as the hashmarks are so small and close together it is difficult to differentiate them from one another.

This rifle will not be a match rifle or a long distance gun. Zeroing at mpbr will more than likely be all I ever need for "pests" on the farm.
