Nice clear light gathering scope my 2nd one very accurate on my Tika 270 short mag putting the 2nd one on another rifle soon like it as well as my vx3 I paid a lot more for I will continue to by Vortex optics no better scope for the dollar!

Scope arrived securely packaged,Very nice clear glass;mounted it on my Rem.700
and off to the range;sighted in @ 100 yds.and moved out to 300; could not be more happy

Purchased this scope from optics planet, took only 12 days to arrive at my remote Australian location.
Since then has seen hunting trips on weekly basis on Cape York in extremely remote locations, I strap my rifle to my Quad bike and bang along bumpy tracks and through the bush for 100km.
The scope was zeroed in 10 rounds with a conformation group of moa on a howa 1500 rifle.
The scope has held zero and tracked perfectly even after bouncing against four wheeler rack for 100km on extremely rough tracks.
I have shot 2 massive scrub bulls and numerous wild dogs at long range with this scope and this scope gives me the confidence to take the shots every time, all one shot kills so far with this scope, BDC reticle awesome for estimating hold over.
All in all best scope I've ever had, used to only use leupold but I say give vortex a try, you won't regret it!

The optical clarity on this scope is amazing. I've spent three times the money on more expensive scopes and this one is just as good if not better. And the lifetime warranty makes the deal even sweeter. My first purchase from Votex was their 20x60 80MM spotting scope. Vortex builds top quality products at reasonable prices. You can spend a lot more on other brands but you would be trowing good money away. Rock solid company with superior products.

I have 2 brands of scopes Leupold and Vortex
You cant get more from your optics dollar than with Vortex. They complete and usually win with glass costing twice as much.

I gave 4 instead of 5 stars because the eye relief is a tiny bit lacking. I needed to go with an extended front ring to get the scope close enough to me.

Everything else about this scope is Fully 5 stars.

Tough to beat for the price. Very clear and sharp, although I have not hunted with it yet. I would give it 5 stars except for the sharp edges of the magnification bar right where the hand comes close to the scope when working the bolt.

I originally ordered the Vortex Diamondback 3.5-10x50 rifle scope. However, it was back ordered. So, when I saw the Vortex Viper 3.5-10x50 rifle scope come in stock, I cancelled my back order. I couldn't be happier about the turn of events. I consider the Viper to be superior in every way to the Diamondback and definitely worth the extra money. I mounted the scope in an American Defense Recon scope mount, on a custom built Rock River Arms AR-15 rifle. It is a coyote killing machine. If I can see 'em, I can hit 'em. The glass is crystal clear, very bright in low light, and I absolutely love the BDC reticle. I have scopes that cost double the money that I don't like as much. Next, I plan on buying another one of these scopes, for a tack driving Remington 700 in .243 Winchester that I own. I am very impressed with Vortex products. I am also coveting the Vortex Spitfire 3x Prism Scope for another AR-15 I own. Needless to say, I am sold on the Vortex line of products. I'm just sorry I didn't discover them sooner.

I would compare the quality and reliability of this scope to others that I own from other manufacturers that cost 2X to 3X more. It is fantastic in low light. I will definitely purchase another Vortex.
