For anything short of war this is a strong option out to 300 yards or so, depending on your eyes - Vortex Spitfire 1x Prism Scope w/ DRT MOA Reticle

PROS: It's a really quick intuitive reticle design that reminds me of a modern peep sight. The reticule is ETCHED so it's always there - (I also have an Eotech). It actually feels sturdy, not tank-like (think Eotech or ACOG) but really well-made while being lightweight comparatively. This also has the lifetime Vortex warrantee and under $300 street price.

CONS: The single bolt attachment does seem to lock it down well. But, for peace of mind, a second one would make me happier - like the larger fixed 3X big brother's.

Side note: I have a second one of these already on the way and I'll be getting one of the 3X versions in the future. These will sit on my 556R Sig (7.62 x 39) and my POF P308.
