Most Helpful Positive Review
for anything short of war this is a strong option out to 300 yards or so, depending on your eyes
PROS: It's a really quick intuitive reticle design that reminds me of a modern peep sight. The reticule is ETCHED so it's always there - (I also have an Eotech). It actually feels sturdy, not tank-like (think Eotech or ACOG) but really well-made while being lightweight comparatively. This also h...

Not a red dot and not a scope
This is not a red dot. This is a very low powered, maybe 1.25x, illuminated scope. Cowitness with iron sights is blurry. If you want a red dot get a STRIKE FIRE OR SPARC. If you want a ACOG type scope get the SPITFIRE 3x. This "1x prism scope" doesn't really seem to serve a solid purpose.
Perfect fit for close home defense
I purchased two of these. one is on a shotgun and one is on a AR pistol. great CQB weapon. lit reticles or not
the black circle dot is etched in the lens. its a great reliability sight. don,t need a BUIS and it keeps things slight

Vortex Spitfire 1x Prism
Love this prism sight, really love that I have a reticle even when off. Offers both red and green reticles. Mount is sturdy as was packaging. Can't wait to sight this in. Pricing was excellent on this as well.

Awesome for a shotgun
If you shoot two eyes open this is awesome for shotgun. use almost no lead, just out the brid in the circle and down they go!. Good for Truck Ar Pistol. I ordered the AD low base for it and put one on that at 1x. and folding
BUIS sights. nice little package. use a shortie grip like Trinty Force (real cheap plastic grip or the BCM (I think is making a shortie grip now) and 20 round magaIne and you have a nice shortie pistol package. the 1x goes plain , green or red if you use the dial. its flat and not heavy. nice rig. affordable too.

The Perfect Close Range Scope
I mounted the Vortex Spitfire scope on my PSA AK-47 pistol. I bought the scope because I was not particularly happy with the iron sights on the gun and wanted to try out a red dot with the Dual Ring Tactical (DRT) reticle, hoping it would improve my accuracy. At the range I was quickly able to sight the gun in at 25 and then at 50 yards. The audible clicks on the windage and elevation turrets are distinct and very helpful. I love having the two circles and the small red dot which does not obscure the targets. The green and red illuminated reticle has great brightness adjustment. I'm very happy with this purchase and the price. It was exactly what I was looking for. I also have the Vortex Strikefire II red/green dot scope mounted on an AR-15. You can't go wrong with the Vortex products.
Pros:
- Love everything about this scope for close range use.
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Target, hunting, self defense

Great sight
Great sight if you’ve got stigmatism. Only issue I had was that the battery cap was on overly tight, had an issue gripping the bottom part that changes brightness tight enough to stop turning when trying to loosen battery cap. Eventually got it and luckily without marring finish.

Vortex Spitfire 1x
Put it on a HK416 22lr. It’s a .22 that I won’t shoot past 100 yards so I really don’t need insane magnification. This did the trick! Easy install, easy adjustments, attached lens covers, etc.

Haven't used it but looks good
Haven't used it to shoot yet, but it is nice to look at and feels great so far. It's new on my rifle so I haven't shot it at a good distance yet, but the sights and light looks crisp. Black dot stays clear even after lights are turned off.sturdy and stable construction

Vortex Spitfire 1x prism scope
Let me start out by saying I own the Vortex Spitfire AR 1x prism and love it. That one only has a green option for the reticle and costs $100 more. This one has the green and red reticle options in one. I thought I got a bad one so I sent it back but the 2nd one was exactly the same. The reticle seems blurred and the brighter the light, the worse it gets. Even when not illuminated you can see what looks like circles overlapping. The glass seems clear and I think it is useable if not illuminated. I just expected a much better reticle from Vortex. I like that you can choose red or green but I don't like either color when illuminated. It seems sturdy and should last but if it doesn't the warranty is great. I also enjoy the size and having the non illuminated reticle even if battery dies. This is my 3rd Vortex scope and the other two are great. This one is just OK at best.

it's purdy gud
Came pretty dang zeroed right out of the box. Slapped it on my 300 Blk pistol and it was shooting about 2" low at 50 yards. the circle dot reticle makes target acquisition very easy and fast. Both red and green are easy to see in the day. Time will tell if the quality lasts but out of the box first impressions are very good.
