Spitire 3x
This is an amazingly durable product. I've been holding off on getting a prism scope for a long time out of general distrust, from my experience w/the ACOG on deployments, and price. Changing platforms and building a gun that's easier to move with has pushed me towards a lighter option than the tr...

Vortex for M4
I have the vortex SPARK and don't know why but I wanted a different dot - I am very pleased with the SPARK and strike fire both are great. Can't say enough good about Vortex products but the prism is not for everyone - I got the x1 spit first and was not happy so I decided to go on up to the x3 spit...

The Vortex spitfire 3x prism is on my scar17.
The spitfire is an heavy duty 3x prism scope. The scar is known to destroy scopes. And the spitfire is handling the assignment with ease. Save your money and invest into an outstanding 3x magnifier prism scope.
Pros:
- Heavy Duty
Cons:
- Cheap
Best Used for:
- For any caliber rifle.

Similar to an ACOG but at a budget price
I have two ACOGs and wanted another similar style scope but didn't want to put $1200 into another scope. Tried to get this from Optics Planet but ended up backordered after placing my order. Got one from another vendor and am very happy with the quality of this optic versus the price I paid. I have several Vortex products and have had no issues with any of them.
Pros:
- Excellent product
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Target shooting 50-300 yards

Great optic for the 5:56 platform!
I had actually ordered this sight a couple years ago for my RDB and never noticed the "write a review" option when logged into my account... This scope is designed specifically for the 5:56 platform and pulls up instantly from 0-100 yards with coyote deadly accuracy. I've since ordered optics and accessories from this company and have had everything shipped in excellent condition and with great performance!

Great Product
This is a really great product. However, I’m 71 years old and these old eyes cannot focus on the reticle which is a bit fine. I had to return it for that reason. If I was younger, there is no doubt that i would keep and use his scope.

Nice Vortex addition
I have multiple Vortex products. Always happy with them and their customer service is top notch. I bought this for an AR15 that needed a repair so haven't paired them yet. My other AR15 has optics already and didn't want to change it out. I have used this multiple times on my DD5 .308 at the range. This is definitely not an ideal scope on an AR10 and I realize that but just wanted to test it. It was incredible. The illuminated reticle in two colors is crisp depending on which background you shoot at. Very easy to adjust the windage and elevation. Wish all scopes had the eye relief this model does. Have had several enlisted military people use this and they are fans.

Nice scope for the price
Vortex stuff is so expensive but you get what you pay for... quality! Reticle is very bright and glass etched. I have bad vision but can still see well in there. Mount feels very solid and cowitnessed great out of the box. The only thing I don’t like is the focus wheel is attached to the flip cap so it doesn’t flip straight up it flips to the side or even down on an angle. Tight groups at local range even for my shaky hands.
Pros:
- Quality brand
- Brand quality
Cons:
- price

Quck Simple Review
Is it worth the 350?
Yes.
I purchased a 2x sight for 100.00 from Monstrum and this Vortex is much better.
Vortex is very clear during the day or night.
My Monstrum is clear during the day but foggy at night. Even with a spot light Monstrum scopes are foggy and pictures has this fish eye blur that moves around.
Vortex is very clear at night and you can see targets with no light at same distance you would see with your eye.
No blur experienced when using a spot light to increase range. Vortex has nice range of illumination for day and night operation. Flip Lens caps are really nice.
The extra money is work it if your shooting at night.

Reticle too fine to see for me
I’m a huge Vortex fan, however the reticle is too hard and too fine for me to see for holdovers and can’t focus. This may not be an issue for everyone. It has great Vortex quality and the reticle is solid plus the red or green reticle option is a huge plus. Maybe it’s the targets I’m using don’t have enough contrast. At 50 yards I just can’t get a good visual of target, I don’t have this issue with other Vortex reticle on 4 other scopes. I had to go to a 2moa red dot. This is used on 14” AR
Pros:
- Large view field
- Mount and lense covers included
- 3 reticles
- Vortex Warranty
Cons:
- reticle too fine
Best Used for:
- close battle shooting

Spitfire 3x Prism w/ EBR-556B MOA Reticle Review
I have a couple of red dot sights, but none with any magnification. Although this is advertised as a AR15 accessory, I mounted it on my 357 magnum Henry big boy rifle, and at the range was immediately impressed with its capabilities. Enough said.
It would be nice if timed shutoff was incorporated into its design however.

- well made
- Nice recticle

Great Scope
Clear, Crisp reticle even when illuminated. Easy and precise adjustments. There is not a time out on the Illuminated Reticle so you will drain your battery if you forgot to turn it off other than that overall this is a great optic for the money. I’m a Vortex fan and this scope didn’t disappoint.
