Decent for the price. good utility scope. - Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x24mm Rifle Scope, 30mm Tube, Second Focal Plane (SFP)

This is a nice entry level 50-to-300-yard scope (556, 300etc). It does feel well constructed, and the warranty is second to none. The items I do not like are when the illumination is on anyone or anything down range can see the bright red light of the scope. I tested this out at low light conditions at 100, 200, and 300 yards and looking UP range at the scope it just shines like a bright red beacon. So, if you don't want the target to see you in a concealed position than this is NOT the scope for you. The other item is the instruction manual. When learning the system, I like a manual that you can carry / reference easily in the field. The supplied manual looks like it was written by a 3-year-old and even after reading it several times it proved to be worthless. I know Vortex spent a ton of money engineering these devices and it is very unfortunate that they fell flat on their face with the Fisher-Price documentation.
