This is a nice entry level 50-to-300-yard scope (556, 300etc). It does feel well constructed, and the warranty is second to none. Love Vortex scopes, for the money I think they are the best out there. I have several AR's equipped with these rifle scopes. Great eye relief can easily shoot with both eyes open. Illuminated reticle is great.

Great scope value
I purchased an Strike Eagle OPMOD, for the reticle. And reputation of Vortex. I was not wrong. I own high dollar glass, and this OPMOD is a great value at its price point. I was so pleased with clarity , and quality in low light , I purchased a second OPMOD, and may buy a third.
If you’re looking for German quality glass, then go spend 4K and get some. But for under 1K this Vortex has good edge to edge definition, no blur at the edges, good light pick up. I would not say bright at twilight, but better than human eyes certainly. Has 2nd focal plane, plenty of MOA adjustment, can track well thru adjustment. I have not shot it , in a square on target , but will before I buy a third. I’m completely satisfied with the value for dollar of this model. I’ve taken 1 whitetail with one, plan to take more with the other.

Mistake buying this
Illumination is absolutely garbage most disappointing scope purchase I've ever made.Ive see $89 dollar Amazon scopes I liked better

Does what i need it to do.
Ive had and used this optic for about a year now. Reticle, optic clarity and magnification work for what i need it to do. Way better reticle than the origional gen1 version.

I must be blessed, when I placed it on the opmod mount, took it shooting, it was zeroed in off the get-go.
