Herman's Review of Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8x24mm Rifle Scope

All the other reviews cover the positives. My only complaint is that it is way too heavy with the cantilever mount, weighing in at 31 oz. (1 oz. shy of 2 lbs.). It alone takes my 7.5 lb. AR into a 9.4 lb. AR, plus any accessories and a loaded nagazube. My recommendation to Vortex would be make the same scope in a one inch tube with a lighter profile mount to go with it. If you can get the scope/mount package down to 20 ounces, I would buy another one.
