SwoleAkshun's Review of Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x24mm Rifle Scope AR-BDC Reticle

Bought this thing From OpticsPlanet and bought an ADM mount from amazon.

A motivating factor for me to buy this scope was that i had returned my EOtech due to their issues. And i didn't want to spend 500+ for another red dot sight. Since 1-6x seemed to be all the rage. I decided to get this. I have never had the opportunity prior to look thru a 1-6x scope, but i didn't really have anything to lose for the price point.
Soon as i got it, of course i had to take it out and look thru her in my house with my underwear on. The glass looked really good at all magnifications. But man, when i got my adm mount and got to put the entire set up on my Ldub(lwrc). Zeroing was easy of course. start at 25yards and then move to 100. I barely made any adjustments at all. Shooting both eyes open was fun too. now just taking it to my local range was fun and all but it wasn't till I took it out to an outdoor shoot and was able to ring steel from 100 thru out 600yards. The BDC reticle made it seem too easy. Transitioning from shooting 100 - 200 -300 then 600 was an absolute blast. The hash marks were spot on. Guesstimating wind though...@600 yards. That challenge made shooting even more fun. This thing has me converted. My thoughts of buying another red dot and magnifier, went out the door, Unless I am really hard up on a lightweight build. I have my trijicon RMR and I'll hold on to that for my mcx and side arms. But for the money, you can't go wrong with this scope at all.
Oh and clairty wise, it is really good. I mean, it's good for what you pay for and then some. It's good enough to plink out to 600 in my opinion even with my not so great eye sight.
