Upon taking these out the box i put them to work. The amount of detail i pick up with these at post sunset conditions compared to my “HD” spotting scope was distinct. I just didnt expect to see that level of detail from these. Looking at trees/birds at almost 500 yards away. I took a risk i feel buying these as there were no youtube reviews and only a few online reviews to go off of. There are a few reviews in the bird watching forums, but not much. I also know that the kowa 880 spotting scope is top tier and ive had a chance to look thru that thing, and its great. I can watch bullet trace from 6 n 6.5 bullets all day. So i knew there top of the line bino’s should be great too. I read other reviews on the 8x33 genesis, n the viper binos shouldnt be mentioned in the same sentence as these. Ive looked thru razor binos too, and i wasnt too swayed to spend the 1k on um and held out for something better. I guess after looking thru swarovski’s , but not wanting to cough up 2.5k for um, i held out for a pair of binos in the 1k range that can give out the most performance. I wish i had the zeiss conquest to compare them too but i dont. I was honestly holding out for a pair of on sale leicas but theIr limited warranty was a no for me. Regardless im still very happy with these so far. I need to go glass with them out farther n see how it looks in all lighting conditions. dThese things are well built, and have a quality feel to them. The focusing wheel is nice
It works as it should. Install per instructions and shoot. Look at LCD screen to check FPS and SD.smile :)
It comes with everything included. Battery and micro SD card! wow!
It really is as simple as that. Nothing overly complicated. Attach it, check the 1/4 in gap, plug it in, and Shoot.
After looking thru the pentax pf80 and lesser priced scopes, not worth mentioning, finally decided to pull the trigger and get this guy during this weekends big sale at OP.
Seeing the made in china stickers brought a tear to my eye, but this scope does perform. First thing was to look at the moon with the kids. Because why not, ha.
But the next day took it out to do some spotting at 200 yards in low light. This thing performs well. easily reading hits and misses to a T. The overall clarity, sight picture, sharpness is great. Especially coming from lower priced glass. Comes with a decent carrying case and durable lens covers.
My only complaint would be the adjustment and fine adjustment knobs. Wish they were metal and more smoother. but for the price that OP was letting this thing go for, wow. It is beyond worth it.
I did get a chance to look thru this thing at a gun show a few months back, it was indoors but the picture was great. But after dealing with cheaper scopes at long distance shoots, i knew i had to get this and i am glad i waited for the amazing price that OP let it go for.
Bought this thing From OpticsPlanet and bought an ADM mount from amazon.
A motivating factor for me to buy this scope was that i had returned my EOtech due to their issues. And i didn't want to spend 500+ for another red dot sight. Since 1-6x seemed to be all the rage. I decided to get this. I have never had the opportunity prior to look thru a 1-6x scope, but i didn't really have anything to lose for the price point.
Soon as i got it, of course i had to take it out and look thru her in my house with my underwear on. The glass looked really good at all magnifications. But man, when i got my adm mount and got to put the entire set up on my Ldub(lwrc). Zeroing was easy of course. start at 25yards and then move to 100. I barely made any adjustments at all. Shooting both eyes open was fun too. now just taking it to my local range was fun and all but it wasn't till I took it out to an outdoor shoot and was able to ring steel from 100 thru out 600yards. The BDC reticle made it seem too easy. Transitioning from shooting 100 - 200 -300 then 600 was an absolute blast. The hash marks were spot on. Guesstimating wind though...@600 yards. That challenge made shooting even more fun. This thing has me converted. My thoughts of buying another red dot and magnifier, went out the door, Unless I am really hard up on a lightweight build. I have my trijicon RMR and I'll hold on to that for my mcx and side arms. But for the money, you can't go wrong with this scope at all.
Oh and clai
