Great item for everyone's gun toolbox. Helps eliminate stripped screws, deformed scope tubes by using correct accurate torque values.

If you have the need for a quality torque wrench for mounting scope rings, I highly recommend the Vortex Torque Wrench Mounting Kit. It is a very well made gunsmithing tool that covers the majority of the torque values specified by the numerous manufacturers of quality rings. I enjoy it's simplicity and ease of use. It is definitely a must have item.
Pros:
- easy to use
- Quality build
Best Used for:
- Range bag tool
- Ring Installations

I ordered this tool while in Spain I wanted a thing done in the United States but my disappointment was when I saw "made in Taiwan". Special thanks to the Optics Planet team for shipping to Spain took a little over a week.

Bought this to put on my scope and rings, Professionally, no more twisted scope due to improper tourque. I can not blame anything but myself when I miss a 900 yard shot. Big bucks in gun and scope, calls for a Perfectly mounted rings and scope.I would recommend this to many friends. This item makes putting on a set of rings and a scope . Easy.

Took awhile to get here.....but worth the wait. Seems to be of high quality and easy to adjust and use...the "socket" for attaching the vairous torque and screw heads should have a "sure lock" of some type as the attached tool is not held firmly in the socket and comes out when the wrench is held vertical and does not seem to want to accept hex type tools that I already have.....maybe an English vs. Metric thing??
Pros:
- easy to adjust and seems to be good quality
Cons:
- does not accept tool heads I have and they do no stay attached to the torque driver when vertical

Easy to use and even had a certification of calibration certificate.... Accepts standard bits so you can easily increase versatility of the tool.... Well made too and comes in a shock resistant plastic case with foam protectors...

I really like the wrench and once I bought the required bit I needed it did the trick nicely. However, I bought this to mount my Vortex scope in a Vortex Precision QR Cantilever Mount 30mm with 2in offset and it did not even include the bit I needed for this job. I had to go buy another (non-torquing) wrench that included the bit I needed to finish the job.

Like others have mention, the bits are hard to put in. My main complain is the case that it comes with. I want to throw this in my range bag but the tube it comes in doesn't lock the wrench in place and doesn't have any thing to secure all the bits.

Read the online reviews from others before purchasing. The torque wrench works exactly as advertised and I used it to mount a rail and scope. The tube case that it comes in is great for keeping the bits and drivers together and can be thrown in a range bag and taken with you. The wrench is very easy to dial in and I appreciated having one pound increments marked. Would definitely recommend to a friend.
Pros:
- Accurate
- compact carry case
Best Used for:
- mounting scopes and rails

I use tools every day to make a living so I’m very familiar with torque wrenches and hand tools, I bought my first set of Vortex scope mounts which are GREAT and love their scopes. But the torque wrench should not have their name on it. The break over is very weird and the bits are very difficult to lock in. Not to mention the It did not even include to correct size Allen head to mount the scope which is why i bought it , good thing i had one that i could use in my other handle style torque wrench WASTE OF MONEY
Cons:
- Not enough or correct bits
