Most Helpful Positive Review Vortex Binocular Tripod Adapter
Great article. Yes, it’s a bit fiddely to attach, but I didn’t expect it to be a quick connect item. Only gripe I have is that the adapter is a little short and my chin gets in the way of the Manfrodo tripod handle. I turned it back to front which solved this problem.
Most Helpful Negative Review Very rough finish
Bought this for my Kilo3000. Of course it works. However, the finish of this mount is horrible. I can see the bubble and rust from it. The threat works but it somehow it has some black paint on it. Over all it's hard to believe it's made by Vortex.

Difficult to install and provides unstable platform

by Brian, from Texas, United States Written on March 21, 2021
Very disappointed in product. Was hoping to combine great vortex binoculars optics with stability of tripod. Very difficult to install into binoculars—screw cap on binocs very hard to remove without damaging. Once installed and mounted on tripod, was too wobbly. Returning for refund.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • Difficult to install. Not stable once installed.

Looks like it would work great....but

by Bob, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on October 16, 2020
Seems like it would work nicely, if your tripod base clamp was smaller. The base of the Vortex adapter is too small for my Nikon Compact tripod...and probably too small for others too. Cool idea though. I would recommend...but be aware of the small base footprint, 1 3/16"x 1 3/4".
Pros:
  • not over priced
Cons:
  • base plate too small

Simple. Straightforward.

by Anson, from AZ, United States Written on October 29, 2019
I've been using a free adapter my brother gifted me for several years and it was a pain to remove when moving to a new area. This twist screw is already much easier to lock-in and remove. It is reasonable in price and fits on any trips.

Perfect adaptor for my heavy long viewing range binoculars 7.5 X 15 X 40 Jason's to a monopod. Excellent stability at 15 power. Simply screw it on the standard tripod or monopod. Your viewing pleasure will be vastly improved when using.

Nice but not perfect

by shofn006, from IL, United States Written on March 5, 2018
This is a fairly light weight bino adapter with one issue. It's quite difficult to get screwed in and attached to binos unless you have pencil thin fingers. Despite it will get the job done so don't let that scare you away.
Pros:
  • light weight
Cons:
  • Difficult to connect

vortex tripod adapter

by Harvey, from ID, United States Written on January 18, 2017
NICE AND EASY INSTALATION TAKES ABOUT 5/6 SECONDS. It takes longer to remove your face plate from your binoculars. just an idea but you can use a very small rubber washer if your adapter is loose.

Secure Mount for a Tripod of Any Size

by Chip, from NC, United States Written on October 30, 2014
Unfortunately, I returned this item because the face surface which attaches to the binocular was not flush and it was canted. This item is made in China, but it's functional cast metal. The item attached to my binocular. It just had a gap when tightened because it was not flush at ninety degrees. Tough the bolt was pointing straight.
