Great for the price!
I used this on a Ruger Precision Rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor to qualify to use a long distance range at a local gun club. I walked out to 900 yards with a ballistic calculator for targets at 307, 388, 431, 498, 580, 653, 681,763, 812, and 900 yards. The scope tracked great, so much so I hit a clay bird sitting on a berm at 900 yards. If you're looking for a low-cost, high value optic you won't be disappointed.

Very nice and clear view through my window. I probably won't actually use it until spring, I'm not a big fan of the cold. This is my first Vortex scope, I have Arken, Shepherd, and Burris scopes of similar design. So far, the Shepherd is my favorite, but all are decent scopes for the distances I shoot (up to 600 yards), so I expect that I will be pleased with this one. If not, you will definitely here from me in a review come spring 2026.

Vortex ‘Venom’ review
This is not the first Vortex product for me but it is the first Venom model I have purchased. It is high quality and provides a very crisp picture. The 34 MM tube makes it easier for me to avoid scope shadow wearing progressive corrective lenses. I use on a .308 bolt rifle. Very easy to get turrets back to absolute zero after dialing in on range.

what a great value!!
Love this scope..I have three of them. Warranty is solid.. turrets moves consistently. Returns to zero.. included a throw lever.

Great optic for the price point
The reticle is nice, I really like the dot instead of the open center like on the diamondback. The parallax is distance accurate. The only thing I really don’t like is the eye relief. You have to be perfectly centered and distanced for full zoom or you will get blurry and black edges in the sight picture, you won’t see that in the higher quality optics as bad. I haven’t found another optic in this price range that performs as good. For the price I’m satisfied.

Great LR scope
Great scope whether you shoot on the 100yd range or going for that 1000yd shot. The larger lens gives a wide field of vision and allows for plenty of light into the scope for those low light shots in the shade. The 95 moa vertical adjustment is one of the largest available on the market. This is the same scope as the Strike Eagle without the illuminated reticle. I personally use both scopes on my rifles whether it be the 22lr going 500+ yds, or my 5.56 and .308 going 1000+ yds without the need of using hold over to reach my targets.
