Pretty surprising specs for the price... - Vortex Venom 5-25x56mm 34mm Tube First Focal Plane Rifle Scope

Honestly I don't get how this scope is so cheap. Any other scope on the market with these specs (FFP, 34mm tube, 56mm objective, 5-25 magnification) would cost AT LEAST twice as much. Personally I feel this would have been a great deal if it was $200 more, but let me shut up before Vortex increases their price, lol. But really, I was on a budget and couldn't afford anything over $500 realistically since I spent a lot on the rifle but this scope allowed me to not have to sacrifice quality or features. I have this on a Daniel Defense Delta 5, and the combination of the two I was easily getting their guaranteed half MOA groups at 100 yards. My only complaint would be that the magnification adjustment is a little stiff but I think that will loosen up with use. Their zero-stop function to make it so the elevation knob doesn't turn backwards below your zero is VERY easy to use. I remember the old Vortex system required that you put a bunch of shims under the cap and it was a little bit of trial and error to get it just right, the new system is much easier to do. The eye relief on it isn't too short which is nice, but it's also not that forgiving, you will get scope shadow unless you get the eye relief just right, but once you do, the glass is clear and the reticle is awesome. Overall for under $500 there really is no other option out there better than this scope.
