The quality of vortex continues to amaze. Some look at vortex as a budget, friendly product. The quality and engineering that vortex puts in into their product can go ahead to head with some of the best names out there. Their warranty says it all.

Purchased this to use as an offset on an AR15. Good value and fits well to delta point pro 45 offset. Vortex warranty is the way to go for an AR dot that will get a lot of wear

Was zeroing the optic on a Sig P220 10mm Legion after or during firing to zero the rear lens had a crack in the left lower corner and would not hold zero. Contacted Vortex and in process of sending it back for repair or replacement. One good thing is the VIP warranty. Should have purchased the ST model. I might have gotten a lemon.

I have used both reflex sights and enclosed optics and I prefer enclosed optics by far. The optic is easier to use and clean if it gets dirty, wet or muddy out in the field. I have this set up on a 45 degree offset mount on an 16'' AR 15. The optic is constructed well with a strong housing that looks like it could take a beating. It has very clear glass and a very crisp 6 MOA dot. It is very easy to rotate the rifle 45 degrees and locate the optic and the red dot and get on target and stay on target for followup shots. The optic came with plenty of different mounting screws for different mounting platforms. My only critique is I wish it came in a green dot option and/or a 32 moa circle dot. I have an astigmatism and green is easier for me to see, so the option would have been nice.
Pros:
- Strong build quality
- Easy to Zero and Operate
- easy to install
- Common battery type
- Clear glass Crisp red dot
Cons:
- no multi reticle option
- one single color dot option
Best Used for:
- Multi use
- Compact Handguns
- Rifle or pistol set ups

I bought the Venom and the new Defender ST enclosed red dot. I like the Venom more. You can’t beat the price too. As long as they stay on sale.

Bought this and paired it with a vortex deltapoint pro Picatinny red dot mount to mount on one of my shotguns for my kids to turkey hunt with. This is actually the second one I bought the first one I mounted on my wife’s shotgun and it worked so well I had to buy one for my kids shotgun.

I bought two of these to go on "matching set" of pistols for my son and me. The features for the price point are great. The buttons on top are tactile and easy to use, and I like that the battery compartment is side mounted so the sight doesn't have to be removed and rezeroed to change it. I'm used to smaller dots but 6moa dot on the two that I purchased don't seem too big out to 25yd. The 6moa will work just fine for CCW distances in my opinion.
Pros:
- Large Window
- easy to install
Best Used for:
- Handgun (6 moa dot)
- Defence purposes
