Great budget optic!
Despite the fact the aluminum metal is a little softer if it were to come in contact with other surfaces meaning you accidentally dropped it and the optic were to take a hit, it would either dent or scratch fairly easily which is all aesthetics.
I promise you with a vortex’s lifetime warranty you wouldn’t necessarily need to worry.
The presentation of the red dot as you were to look through the window, it isn’t as sharp as I would compare it to the Defender ST enclosed. But! It gets the job done for sure at its price point.
I do recommend it to ANYONE buying a basic enclosed red dot if that is what you are looking for. You may not get the bells and whistles like you would from the Defender ST enclosed optic. But you do get their 100% guarantee replacement if you do damage it in any form of way.
