This is as good as it gets if the decision tree doesn't include swarovski, which would be foolish "in-country" anyway, for so many reasons. Maybe more reliable and certainly better, more practical support.

Very good clarity and brightness for a compact binocular. In very low light those brands costing 2 and 3 times as much do beat it (and they should) but if you are a birder or a hunter who wants very close to the
same viewing quality in a small easy to carry binocular and at a much better price you can't go wrong with these.

Great buy for the money
Great set of easy light weight carry binoculars. Put it all together, size, weight, clarity and price, that's what makes them 5 star. I do have a pair of Swarovski, 10-25. The vortex, have all the good things the Swarovski offer, they cost half as much. I hope they hold up, I am new to vortex, seems to me they make a great product.

Vortex Viper 10x28 Binocular V210
I looked at a number of compact 10x binoculars and frankly was disappointed until I found these. These are compact, lightweight and have superb clarity and brightness. No, they aren't as optically impressive as my 10x42 Vortex binoculars - but that can't be helped due to the smaller diameter. However, I will carry these with me - not the large ones.
