Perfect scope for my needs at a very reasonable price point. - Vortex Viper HD 20-60x85mm Spotting Scope

I was able to put this scope to use immediately upon receiving it. It was and will be used mostly for bird watching and the clarity is fantastic. I used it to observe a large mixed flock of waterfowl feeding and loafing in a picked corn field and was able to see details and pick out individual birds that I would never have even able to see with binoculars alone. Instant game changer. Looking forward to using it to digiscope in the future. The almost unconditional warranty that Vortex has played a big role in this purchase and Optics Planet had the best price by far. Keep in mind this is a large scope so carrying it around is a little challenging. If you are looking for something super portable or lightweight this may not be the best match for you.
