Mike's Review of Vortex Viper HD 20-60x85mm Spotting Scope

I've used Tasco, Simmons, and Bushnell, but the optics on the Viper HD blow them out of the proverbial water. We had great views of the moon and Saturn last night, but I'm really looking forward to getting it to the range. And OP's prices are unbeatable. I really wanted to buy from a locally owned brick and mortar store, but they couldn't get in the same zip code as OP.
Pros:
  • Optical clarity edge to edge
Cons:
  • Not truly parfocal, but pretty darn close
Best Used for:
  • prairie dog hunting
  • Rifle range
