I recently replaced my old nikon binoculars with the vortex 10x50. It was like buying new tires; you don't realize how bad yours are until you replace them! The Vortex binos are super clear, focus easily, and are very comfortable in the hand. Hopefully I won't ever need to replace, but if I do, I doubt i'd switch.

Great glass and clarity, I have had great luck with Vortex scopes and these binoculars were just what I needed for Bear and Elk hunting out west. I use a Vortex spotting scope once an animal has been located in the binoculars to determine if a stalk is worthy but my 12x Binoculars were too hard to hold steady while spot and stalk hunting and these are just what I needed.
Quality, reliabity, easy to operate and clear glass for glassing the vast Montana mountains was what I needed and these fit the bill perfectly.

Nice crisp view. Glass allows crisp view even in very dim light. Great for use in mid-range views/hunting in wooded areas. Perfect for what I needed. Allows for a quick access because of ease of focus. Also works well for everyday use such as birdwatching. Love the weight and feel
Pros:
- Clear optics
- clear view & Easy To Use

I have accumulated several pairs of binoculars (all porro-prism) over the years of varying quality and this pair (Vortex HD 10x50) are head and shoulders above the rest. The best pair I had prior to this purchase were a 7x50 marine binocular that had a better view when used for astronomy than a 15x70 purpose built astronomy binocular; much clearer and sharper. The Vortex pair is even better.
I purchased the Vortex binoculars about a month ago for an upcoming trip to Yellowstone NP and the Grand Tetons. They performed better than I could have hoped. The lighter weight of the roof prism style was a big plus - I was able to hand-hold the binoculars with a little practice thanks to their weight and relatively small size relative to a porro-prism binocular. Having a 10x vs a 7x was a big plus when observing animals at a distance. I was able to track and identify a bale eagle so far away that I had barely noticed it with my naked eye much less was able to tell what it was.
Looking forward to using these for stargazing; hoping to avoid the need for a tripod. I went for the higher priced model to avoid chromatic aberration that could be a problem for astronomy. The sharp focus, eye relief, and field of view should be a big help in watching the Perseids meteor shower in mid August.
The carrying case for the binoculars came with a harness to carry them on the chest. I felt that this was not the best approach till I saw many people in the NPs walking with a case on their che...

This was purchased as a mid level optic for professional use. It is nearly as clear as the Zeiss but half the price, and since these are treated rough in the field they are better for that use. We have several of these in long use and they are very satisfactory for the power and weight. The warranty is super, but we have never had to use it on binoculars.
Pros:
- price and warranty, clarity, durability
Cons:
- at extreme long range and haze zeiss are better

I do a lot of low light and night hunting to control the hog population on our ranch and these have turned out better than I expected for glassing late evening and during full moons. You pay a weight and size penalty for the 50mm objective, but if you are a night hunter it’s totally worth it. The daytime performance is also really nice when you consider the relatively modest price and they easily outclass my Nikon Monarch 5 10x42mm. That said, if you are primarily a whitetail hunter and only shoot during standard legal shooting hours, stay with the smaller 40mm range. The extra light gathering won’t get you a big enough bump in performance to make it worth the size and weight by the time it’s that bright out already. All in all these perform great for the price for a special set of hunting conditions and I’m glad I bought them.
Pros:
- Durability
- Clarity
- low light performance
- color accuracy
Cons:
- weight
- size
- covers come off too easy
Best Used for:
- Low light and night hunting

Chinese models are inferior. I bought the pair made in the Philippines and the lenses were literally larger than the Chinese ones. You can see by the comparison that they have cut the quality all the way around, the lens sizes, the rubber thickness on the eye cups, how well they adjust and the clarity looking through them. What gives these Binocs the ratings is that warranty which is the best compared to many by far which to me isn't any good if the product fails to give you the best as compared to itself in the past. I would rather go to another brand than live with that. Its my money and I want what I want with it or go without quite frankly. I really DO NOT LIKE CHINA. Nuff said.
Cons:
- Everything wrong with a quality product
- Overpriced for failed quality standards
Best Used for:
- casual viewing and not professional

I bought these binoculars for long range shooting out to 1100 yards and they didn't let me down with the clarity, weight and balance. I did not see enough difference when going from the viper to the razor, especially for the price difference.
