Vortex viper hd - Vortex Viper HD 3-15x44 Rifle Scope, 30mm Tube, Second Focal Plane

I like the clarity of the scope. About the same as a Leupold VX3 of comparable power when looking at bullet holes in paper at 100 yards on a sunny day. I do wish the crosshairs were finer, seems like it blocks out at least 1/2" at 100 yards. Leupold crosshairs are thinner for more precise aiming. The illuminated dot could be a gamechanger for early morning/late afternoon hunting opportunities, we'll see. The windage and elevation click adjustments are very definite, not wishy washy, you know how many clicks you got.
