The glass is very clear, magnification ring is stiff so switch view lever is recommended but not a must. Rated 4 stars because of tight magnification ring. It took a few range days to feel comfortable with the change from red dot to 1x reticle for CQB but the ability to have variable magnification with one unit is a plus. MOA reticle tested spot on out to 300 yards using hold over with 223 Fed Match ammo. Peer shooters were less than enthusiastic about the scope until they used it. Like test driving a new car home overnight. Once they used it they had to have it. The price point sealed the deal.
