FD's Review of Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x32mm First Focal Plane Riflescope
I had been considering some Leupolds for a scope to put on a 308 AR. All of the Leupolds I was looking at lacked a FFP or a MilDot reticle. This scope was slightly higher than what I was wanting to spend, but getting a "custom" Leupold with a Mildot reticle was also just as high if not higher.
This scope had everything I wanted. A tactical scope, capable of ranging and doing hold-overs that I wanted to use for hunting (practical application) as well.
The middle portion of the mildot reticle is illuminated and is very easy to see (versus just a dot for the Leuopold Firedot reticle). The magnifier ring is pretty stiff and I will get a lever to add onto it.
The box, is opened by lifting the top off. I nearly had a heart attack when I had grabbed the sides to pull the box out and the bottom slipped out underneath. Thankfully the scope was still packaged in styrofoam and didn't fall far.
