Most Helpful Positive Review Excellent Product, Excellent Service
The glass is excellent and ultra clear. The scope has similar features compared to scopes carrying double the price tag. The VIP warranty from Vortex is outstanding, however I've never actually had to send anything in for repair/replacement yet. I've emailed Vortex though and received a prompt response concerning scope manufacturing. I will not hesitate to buy another Vortex product, nor will I hesitate to shop at Optics Planet. A top notch product from a top notch dealer! Pros: features, outstanding VIP warranty, reticle Cons: weight, not "Made in America"

Nice optics.

by Mike, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on October 17, 2016
I mounted this on an AR with a 20 inch match barrel. The glass and reticle and turrets are adequate for my needs. I'm plinking out to 600m. The matching reticle and turrets are a plus. So far so good.

Love The Scope!

by Sherman, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on August 27, 2016
I got the scope mounted on my AR10 and sighted in at the local range. Love how clear it was and could easily see holes in the target at 100 yards I have older eyes with progressive lens glasses and this isn't always the case with some scopes.
Pros:
  • Clear glass, easy adjustment lightweight
Cons:
  • Magnification ring is a bit difficult to turn
Best Used for:
  • General use.

Viper PST 2.5-10x32

by Powerlock, from TX, United States Written on August 9, 2016
You could say I downgraded. I swapped from a Nightforce NXS and went to a Vortex PST. While the knobs do not feel as robust as the Nightforce, this scope tracks very well. Clarity is great as with all Vortex items. I have never had to use the Lifetime Warranty, but I know this is a great selling point. My only gripe is the Zero Stop feature of the vortex PST. There is no hard stop since the design employs shims, so there is no comparison to high level scopes in this regard. However, at half the price, this scope sports the features of scopes 2-3 times its price.
Pros:
  • FFP
  • price/value
  • Clarity/brightness is outstanding
Cons:
  • Zero stop less convenient than some other scopes

Solid Optic for the Price

by bkwyrm, from CA, United States Written on August 6, 2016
Very well satisfied with this optic. At this pricepoint you get a very competent scope. The glass is clear and adjustments are fairly easy. I have it mounted on a AR with a LaRue mount. The optic has held zero even after some rough handling (banging against vehicle doors, trees, etc...). Vortex represents a very solid value for the money.

Nice scope for Remmington 700 Muzzleloader

by Steve, Verified Owner from UT, United States Written on July 27, 2016
I own two other Vortex scopes and two Nightforce, so this is my third Vortex. I purchased this for my new muzzleloader and although I love Nightforce, I did not want to spend that much money to put a scope on a muzzleloader that I won't shoot too often. That said, the quality on this scope is excellent. The only negative I can say is that Vortex's implementation of the zero stop function is not as convenient to set or as accurate (i.e., does not stop precisely on zero) as those of Nightforce.
Pros:
  • sharp
  • good value
  • FFP reticle a great convienience
  • Lightweight, solid
Cons:
  • Zero stop less convenient than some other scopes
Best Used for:
  • hunting

What an Awesome Scope

by Nobody, from FL, United States Written on April 20, 2016
I love my new 2.5-10x32 FFP scope. I was surprised at how bright the scope is even with the 32mm objective. To me this size objective is the right size for an AR-15 platform. I was also pleasantly surprised that at 2.5 power I was questioning if I needed to put a red dot on offset at 45. I felt very comfortable with the field of view at 2.5. I went ahead and put on of my razor red dots at 45 just to do it and it looks awesome but we will see if I even need it for my SPR functionality.

Great scope, just like my Viper 6-24x50 FFP. I have zero complaints about the optics quality and I'm very picky with my optics.

Vortex pst ffp 2.5 x 10 x 32

by PHILLIP HICKS, Verified Owner from KY, United States Written on January 21, 2016
Great scope for the money, lighted reticle is nice for low magnification setting with FFP, glass is clear, like the mil rad. Clicks are positive, I like that in between each setting for the lighted reticle is an off position, so no matter what brightness I choose, it's only one click and it's on.

Fantastic Scope!

by T Kentucky, from KY, United States Written on January 19, 2016
First, let me say that I own some nice optics: nightforce 2.5-10 nxs, leupold mk4, bushnell elite, swfa ss, and a few other vortex hd glass. This is one of my favorites. I have it mounted on an AR RECCE build that I used for last deer season to tag a doe. Crystal clear glass, love the FFP and great light dispersion at low light. I tagged that does around dusk at 100yds and pint of impact was point of aim. I'd recommend this optic to anybody looking for a very versatile, high quality budget scope that delivers tremendous value. The only downside I've seen is a piece fell off when I painted the scope and rifle.

Very repeatable scope. Going from different ranged targets, it's very easy to get back to zero with vortex's zero stop feature and the point of impact stays true throughout the adjustment range. Additionally, the tactile feel of the knob clicks is on par with leupy and nightforce.
Pros:
  • Price
  • Clarity
  • repeatability
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • hunting
  • Tacticle
