Steve's Review of Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x32mm First Focal Plane Riflescope
I own two other Vortex scopes and two Nightforce, so this is my third Vortex. I purchased this for my new muzzleloader and although I love Nightforce, I did not want to spend that much money to put a scope on a muzzleloader that I won't shoot too often. That said, the quality on this scope is excellent. The only negative I can say is that Vortex's implementation of the zero stop function is not as convenient to set or as accurate (i.e., does not stop precisely on zero) as those of Nightforce.
Pros:
- sharp
- good value
- FFP reticle a great convienience
- Lightweight, solid
Cons:
- Zero stop less convenient than some other scopes
Best Used for:
- hunting
