Darn good scope but not so crisp at maximum magnification - Vortex Viper PST 4-16x50 FFP Rifle scope

I purchased this to replace a 6-24x50 SFP Viper PST because at 24x the view was a bit too blurry to really do me any good. The 4-15x50 FFP Viper PST does suffer from the same issue of losing quite a bit of fidelity at maximum magnification but it is still good enough to decide if a buck is a shooter from 1,000 yards out. Going with FFP was a fantastic decision as I don't have to check what magnification I'm running when determining hold over, it is the same all the time which is an awful nice feature to have. All up I do like the scope and doubt I'd be able to get the same quality at the price point from another manufacturer, but the difference in clarity between min and max magnification is still a bit frustrating.
