Vortex viper pst 6-24x50m sfp riflescope - Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50mm Riflescope

This scope has replaced a Zeiss Conquest 4x15x50 on my Les Baer AR-15. I cannot fault the Zeiss scope, but wanted the magnification of 24 power. The Vortex Viper seems to be at least equal to, if not higher in quality than the Zeiss, but at a much lower price. The EBR-1 reticle is superior to the ordinary fine crosshairs that are on my Zeiss scope, and the Rangefinding feature of the EBR-1 reticle is a nice feature that seems to work well. I think highly of the Zeiss Conquest scope, but consider the Vortex to be of similar quality and better value. If ordering this scope, be certain that you know the difference between 1st and 2nd Focal Plane, and select the one that suites your purpose. There is a huge difference. I have the 2nd FP, which I believe is what most people are familiar with. Both Zeiss and Vortex offer excellent customer service. I highly recommend the Vortex Viper scope.
