Lots of bang for your buck

A really great 1-6x that doesnt break the bank.

Solid LVPO in second focal plane that is great for almost any carbine application.

A little heavy compared to some of the competition and I wish the illumination ring locked like on the other PST Gen 2 models but other than that no complaints.

Paired this optic with an ADM mount and have been really happy with the setup.

This scope has great optics. I also have a Vortex Razor HD, and the optics are very comparable. Plus it has the Vortex customer service and warranty which is second to none.

My first Vortex

As I was researching my first optics for my first new AR-15 rifle, I spent some time on Opticsplanet website to sort through so many options! It was easy and helpful to start drilling down to the perfect selection. Price value, quality, and reliability was the goal of the search. Vortex Viper 1-6

Excellent scope. looks good, Clear as can be looking through it. has 10 different illumination settings for the red dot with an off option next to each setting so you don't have to flip through to find the one you liked everything. so thats nice. So far great scope.

Best scope I own

I love this lpvo. I owned the st ike eagle previously and I hated it but this scope is perfect. It makes my red dot/3x combo feel incompetent. I want one on every close to medium range rifle I own. The clarity is better than the diamond tactical. I wish this one came in ffp but for my needs, it's not necessary. A green dot would have put this over the top. This is the new bar for me and anything less will not suffice.

Reticle Defect

The reticle was defective. there is a second vertical line in the reticle that ends in the red dot but this dot does not line up with the crosshairs of the rest of the reticle. the red dot and the reticle are not aligned. Very distracting when shooting at longer range. Contacted Vortex and am awaiting a response.
