Terrific addition to your PPQ
This magwell feels great once installed. Installation just requires a few quick cuts to the backstrap. I feel it improves control of the firearm - and looks pretty terrific as well. Makes reloads much quicker and doesn’t add much weight at all.
Exactly what i was looking for
Fits right out of the box with no adjustments. Its light so it doesn’t add a lot of weight and works as intended. It says Walther on the bottom as well so it blends with the other parts and accessories on the firearm.

Walther PPQ MAGWELL
I choose to buy this magwell to enhance my PPQ. One thing I should have researched was my stock mags would not work. Ensure you get the proper base plates (it’s cheaper to go to gunmag warehouse and get a new one, than it is to change out your baseplates)

Walther Arms PPQ Aluminum Flared Magwell
Perfect fit but what else would you expect from a Walther branded part. The magwell does an excellent job at directing magazines into the grip, it also helps adds a little surface area for your hand to get better purchase on the grip and torque down, with your pinky, for faster sight acquisition during follow up shots.

Great Magwell, but...
Very nice magwell and built very well, as is everything that Walther puts their name on. The cuts on the backstraps needed for installation are easy, minimal, and generally unnoticeable. It will make your PPQ run slicker than grease when you have the right baseplates on your mags. It also gives your PPQ a meaner and more aggressive look. It is styled very well and looks cooler than the Taylor Freelance magwell IMO. One of the knocks on this magwell is its compatibility (or lack thereof) with so many PPQ mag baseplates. The only ones compatible with it that I have found are the Walther aluminum baseplates (which aren’t cheap) and the ones that I use from ZR Tactical which are great and priced right, but seem to have limited availability. Another knock on it is the price tag. With this $90 magwell and a couple of $40 Walther baseplates, you’re already out $170 in just the magwell and the baseplates you need to even use it. It’s an excellent product but Walther has priced it at an almost unreachable level. Why pay $90 when the Taylor Freelance magwell is only going for $50 and probably runs just as well?
Pros:
- Great feel, lightweight, very fast loading
Cons:
- Price point
- Baseplate compatibility
Best Used for:
- competition
- fun at the range
- Home defense

Just what I was looking for
fit like a glove and not large and bulky like some magwells. Had it installed in less that 30 seconds. Helps guide the magazine in for faster reloads which comes in handy for pistol shooting competitions
Pros:
- Good fit
- Makes reloads faster
Cons:
- None
