Ron's Review of Warne Matte Base Set For Winchester 70

I installed these bases on a M70 for a Weaver scope and after zeroing I only had about 3 minutes of left wind adjustment. These bases replaced the Weaver #46 / 47 combination with which I had plenty of wind and elevation adjustment. Wither the front or the rear are skewed to the right so much as to make them unusable. Maybe I just got a bad set?
Can't recommend them for this reason.

  • Not straight with the receiver.

  • A scope that shoots left
