Warne one piece Mauser 98 base
I purchased this Warne one piece base to replace an old Buehler one piece base on my Mauser 98 action. The base fit perfectly and is very well made. The screw holes matched perfectly.
Great products and even better customer service. I would recommend highly.
Fits original K98 perfectly
I bought an original K98 sporter. It was already drilled and tapped and this mount fit it perfectly. No problems with the screws or fit.
One thing of note though...this is a WEAVER rail...not picatinny, so you will have to buy weaver scope mounts for it.
A picatinny scope mount CAN fit, but it will be bowed and I would never trust it.

Doesn't fit M12
There is nothing wrong with the base it looks high quality. However I ordered the base for a Mauser M12 aa that is what is supposed to fit according to Mauser. The base looks like it is made for a short action but to my knowledge Mauser 98s were long action as well.

Mauser scope base
This went right on my Cv-24. I did not have to grind the receiver flat. It fits over the hump on the back of the receiver. My Cv-24 has been converted to .243. I sighted it in at 250 yards. I am very happy with this item.
