I had originally bought A 1 pc. mount and did not like it because you had to remove the rear sight. With the 2 pc you can leave the rear sight on. All you have to do is remove the scope and you still have the sights. So, with that said the 2 pc is excellent.

This is exactly what I needed to mount my new scope on my rifle. It was really easy to install. They were a perfect fit. It even came with the Allen wrench tool to do it (my rings from one of the big box stores was missing that tool).

Purchased these for my Mossy 464 30/30 since they were designed to allow me the continued use of the iron sights. This was important to me since the 464 is a tack driver up to 150 yards with it's iron sights. In my area I would be doing most of my deer and boar hunting with the iron sights, so I decided to give these mounts a try. It was a great choice. They mounted solid and flush on the 464's receiver. I used UTG quick disconnect 1" scope rings with a Simmons Pro Hunter scope. Once mounted and sighted in I was able to quickly remove the scope, then remount it again later with the reticle remaining true to it's original sighting. Thanks to these mounts I have the best of both worlds. Precision distance shooting with the scope mounted, or a classic original, iron sighted lever action brush gun with the scope removed. I believe this is the best scope base option on the market for the 464 hands down.

These bases are perfect weaver-style bases for the Mossberg 464. They fit perfectly, are as trim as can be, and have a locking groove down the middle. They come with quality torx cap screws. And they are all steel, as all scope mounts and bases should be. I only wish such excellent bases were made in leupold dual dovetail style. I prefer the less bulky look of the leupold style, however, it may be impossible to get it this low in that style.
