Bought these rings intending to use on my M1A. After some thought believe the Warne mountain tech rings would suit my purpose better. Between the two rings. The split ing design of the maxims in my opinion are made for a more permanent mounting. Install and leave,where as the mountain tech with the 7/16th mounting nut allows the scope to stay in the rings while removing the scope from the weaver base.
