A 1-piece would be better, but these rings seem really solid for me - i'm a hunter. I lap them for co-axial to each other before i mount scope - i haven't seen any significant error - they seem very co-axial. Very well-made, thumbs-up - i'd say ready-to-go w/o lapping.
Pros:
- Soild. Co-axial, good surface finish and appearance.
Cons:
- Not 1-piece for both (that's by design and ok - is lighter-weight that way)
Best Used for:
- hunting
