A 1-piece would be better, but these rings seem really solid for me - i'm a hunter. I lap them for co-axial to each other before i mount scope - i haven't seen any significant error - they seem very co-axial. Very well-made, thumbs-up - i'd say ready-to-go w/o lapping.

This is an excellent product and is exactly as described.They fit and mount perfectly. This is an extremely high quality product and this is the strongest and lightest set of rings that I have ever owned and I own several set of scope rings. They also look great on a scope mount.
