Warne’s picatinny rail was a perfect fit for my rifle. The engineering, machining and finish of the product is impeccable, The rail fit correctly along with the supplied torx screws ( not slotted screw heads) . The product was free of sharp edges and burrs. Well worth the money. Thanks Warne!

Ordered for my Savage model 12fv 6.5. Screw holes lined up correctly. Screws was correct length. Mount set flat on the action. No need to bed the scope mount. Highly recommend this mount to others who seek steel over aluminum for scope mounts.

This is Warnes' All Steel Tactical Picatinny base. It has a 20 Moa built-in slope that helps with long range shooting. This is my fourth base of this type from the company, and for the price and quality they just can't be beat. I would put this base up against Leupold, Seekins and the rest of the more expensive makers. Great product from a great company! Can't go wrong with these. Good shooting!
Pros:
- Steel, 20 moa, extremely well made, price

Excellent product. I have been using Warne products for a long time and their quality is never compromised. Machining has always been perfect for each application. Warne customer service is excellent as well.

This is one of the few steel bases available for Savage Long Action with flat rear receiver. Well worth the money if you are mounting a heavy tactical scope. All the mounting holes and hard ware line up perfectly. If paired with quality steel rings it'll last forever. Scope shift and point of impact shift are often attributed to low quality rings and bases. I would put Warne up against Badger Ordinance or NF any day.

I ordered this base with trepidation because it went on a Savage model 10 benchrest rifle. This rifle is a range puppy and is far too heavy to be a sporting rifle. So I wanted the best base I could afford. When I mounted the base, I used some plasti-gauge under the base to see if it contacted the receiver evenly, and it did. I mounted a vortex scope which is fairly heavy. At the range once I got the rifle zeroed, all my groups were under an inch at 100 yards, which is not saying all that much for a rig like this. I believe the base is solid and the rifle will shoot as well as I am able to shoot. I would buy this base for other rifles until I have more money to burn on a base, which may or may not perfom better.
Pros:
- solid, even contact with receiver

This rail went on my precision 6 mm BR rifle, and once I put loktite on it and screwed it down, it is solid. The scope for now is a 4-16 X50, so it's a fairly heavy scope. The rifle is not a heavy recoiler so I cannot speak to that, but the rail provides a solid base and the scope has not moved impact at all.

I used this for a savage 12 LRP and the fit was perfect. One of the screws would not tighten up but it could be the threads in the receiver, however it has been just fine so I haven't worried about it.

Very stable & solid scope mount. Needed one piece base for long action Savage 30-06 with shorter scope (Vortex Viper 30mm) Much more stable than two piece base (one extension base) Looks better and much more stable mount. Heavier than two piece but not noticeable. Great service by Optics Planet.
Pros: Very stable solid mount
Cons: slightly heavier than standard two piece base
