Great Marlin Mounts
I purchased a mount from another company and another brand. It was a one piece mount which I was fine with until I got it and it stuck over the front of the receiver almost two inches. That sent me on the search for a better mount. I found the Warne mounts were a great fit and although they do stick over the receiver about 1/8” I can live with that. I have since ordered two more Warne bases for my other model 94 Marlin and for my Winchester model 70 featherweight. Very solid mounts with great fit and finish.
Pros:
- solid mounts, well made, fair price, comes with allen key needed

- It does stick over the receiver a smidge

the mount is made out of aluminium, not as declared out of steel.

The Vapor model mounts are not Steel, they are Aluminum.
As I said, in the title: these bases are not manufactured out of steel; they are made from aluminum. This manufacturer does produce bases made from steel that look just like these, but they are not the same and cost substantially more. I gave the product a rating of four stars because the description is not accurate.
