AZPinz's Review of Warne X-High Scope Rings w/Matte Finish 216M
I bought these for clearance on my AR-15 rifle. I have a full flat-top AR-15, and wanted to mount my 50mm scope on there for a pig hunt since it was all I had sitting in the closet. The catalog from Warne & others will tell you that a 50mm bell will fit on the standard "high" rings and it will, with one big caveat. They only mount without any scope caps. Since my Riton X-3, 6-24x50mm scope had a nice set of slip on type scope caps, it was about 5mm too low with the "high" rings from Warne.
So I was left to chop up my front cover, not use it, or buy higher rings. That's where these X-high rings came in and saved the day. Once I got them (quickly) from OP, I mounted up my 50mm scope and the slip on front cover had enough clearance to be mounted over my handrail that has a full flat profile.
I know that scope is a bit overkill for this setup, just mounted it for a single hunt but was happy that it finally fit with these rings. If you have a handgaurd with the cut down profile over the barrel, you wouldn't need these mounts because the high would work fine.
