Weaver 6.5X20X44 Scope
I am really impressed with the clarity and quality of this scope. The windage and elevation adjustments are spot on when changes are dialed in.
Pros: Great clarity, positive and accurate windage/elevation adjustment
Cons: None

so far not so good
when I tried to bore sight the gun on which I mounted it, we tried turning the elevation knob to raise the point of impact. the impact point never moved. I sent it back and await the replacement. Look forward to receiving the new scope, mounting, bore sighting and using it for long range shooti...

Good scope for the money
I ordered this Weaver 6.5-20 40/44 rifle scope because I wanted a high power for a decent price. This is a good scope for the money; clear optics and parallax adjustment (which is on the objective end). A gave it a four because at high power the exit pupil apparently shrinks to about 2 mm and is a little hard to pick up. The build quality seems quite good and I am satisfied with the performance. I recommend to anyone wanting a cheap high-power scope.
Pros:
- Bright optics, good power
Cons:
- Small exit pupil at high power
Best Used for:
- target

Very good deal
Having wanted a fine crosshair scope for my 10/22 for some time but not wanting to pay $300+++ for one I jumped on this Weaver when it came up on sale. And I am glad I did. Had to get a higher mount for the rifle but it works great.
Pros:
- Fine crosshair
Cons:
- none really
Best Used for:
- Bench

Weaver 6.5-20 x 44mm AO 40/44 Riflescope review
Clear glass, turret adjustments firm and audible. AO at the objective end of the scope, from 25 yds to infinity. Reticle is fine enough to use for target practice. Eye relief is good. I put it on a .22lr and intend to use it for squirrel armageddon this fall. Good value at the price point.

Far better than anticipated!
I don't know why it surprised me that this scope exceeded my expectations. I was less than impressed with another Weaver scope; I guess I didn't have a high opinion of the brand.
This scope has changed all that!
$200 should get you a decent scope, but this is far beyond decent!
Very bright sight picture, I went with the Varminter, and the crosshairs are what I'd have for all my scopes. It's very easy to get on a
400 yd paper target. It's also easy but firm dialing in the obj and the eyepiece, and the click-adjustments are defined and crisp. The range officer where I shoot was skeptical of my DoubleStar barrel because it's chrome-lined. But he took three shots after I got it zeroed and got a dime-sized group at 100yds.
My comparable 6-18x44mm scopes are a Vortex Crossfire and a Redfield Revolution. Is 20x magnification significantly better than 18x?
I didn't expect much difference, but I definitely see and appreciate the advantage.
It doesn't come with any lens coverings, but if you go with Butler Creek, a number 43 (58.7mm) Objective and a number 10 (38.5mm) Eye/Ocular fit like factory.

Weaver 40/44 6.5-20x44
Overall I'm very pleased with this scope. Very clear glass sharp and crisp can see 17 cal holes at 200yrds. The finish is very nice. I have the dual X reticule. The only down side is you loose a lot of eye relief at 20 power. Which would be a concern on a magnum caliber. Mine is mounted on a 17hmr. I an on purchasing another one soon.

Great Scope
The Weaver 6.5 x 20 AO 40/44 is a best buy in my book. This is my second one, sitting on a 17 hmr. Very well made, sturdy and excellent optics, and for under 200 bucks, a bargain. You will need extra high rings. As it is a good size scope, I find it best for bench or varmint use.

A good close view
I think I have about seven of these Weaver scopes now. Only had to return one which wouldn't focus properly. No questions were asked and another one was shipped immediately. The newest one is exactly what I wanted. Ordering from Optics Planet is getting boring. I find what I want quickly at a really good price, order it and receive it before I have any time to start wondering when it will be shipped. No time to worry about any of it.
Pros:
- good value for the money
- good visibility in low light
Cons:
- nothing
Best Used for:
- Target/Hunting

Bad one then good one, FAST!
Ordered this scope (Have several of these) and delivery was fast. Scope could not be focused on anything at any magnification. Tried for 2 days to do it. Returned it for replacement which arrived quickly. Second scope is perfect. Optics Planet made the switch quickly with no questions asked. Excellent service.

The Weaver Legend continues
This scope is on a Win 308 easy to sight in, good MOA as in dial up and then dial it back 4-5 times and held true always a good sign. What really impress me with this scope, is that it is one of the very few scopes I have owned at this price range that is crystal clear at 20x magnification, I have own scope 4 times the price of this gem, and they have had refraction issues around the edges. It has to been the best scope out there for dollar invested. I always think a good testimonial is when asked would I buy another, yes within a heart beat.
Pros: Everything
Cons: Lens caps would of been good.
