Falls short - Weaver Classic Handgun 2x28mm Duplex-Fixed Power Scope

I mounted this optic on a .44 mag revolver. Compact enough to fit well. Easy to zero and after 200 rounds of hunting ammo it has maintained zero. Eye relief however is totally inadequate for use on a handgun. Optics are clear and bright enough for daylight and light shade but the combination of brightness, clarity, magnification and fine reticle leaves quite a bit to be desired for low light and heavy cover when mountd on a handgun. I can only get a full field of view at about 14".

Adequate for load development and informal target shooting. Perhaps okay on a "scout" rifle. Not recommended for handgun hunting if need eye relief of more than about a foot
