Weaver products used to be made in the USA. It appears this particular product was manufactured in that large east Asian nation.

Sellers should always want to identify the country of origin of each product they sell (Are you listening Optics Planet?).

In all fairness, I did not ask - my bad. Nonetheless, the scope rings bear all the hallmarks of slovenly manufacturing. The machining is rough and striations are visible to the naked eye on the external surfaces. The finish thin and uneven and poorly polished - if it was at all. Most importantly, the top and bottom halves of both rings do not mate precisely. In my assessment, scope scratching is highly probable and deformation likely. I simply have more respect for my equipment then to utilize substandard products like these rings. I cannot honestly say the rings would not work because I did use them to mount my scope, and I am not going to. I am placing these rings in File 86 under the heading 'Lessons Learned'.

I purchased a used rifle that had The grand slam mount on it already.
So when I upgraded my scope to a 30mm tube with a 50mm objective I had to get new rings that fit. They fit the scope well and were easy to install. They gave me plenty of clearance between the barrel and objective.

I purchased the Weaver Grand Slam Rings at the same time I purchased the Grand Slam Base. The workmanship and quality of materials is excellent. I still have a concern over the method employed by Weaver to attach the rings to the base but the setup is working fine so far. I will update this review if I experience any problems down the road.

I bought these to use on my .300 win mag with a vortex pst 4x16 50mm scope and they were way too hight for the scope/gun combo. The medium rings worked perfect.
