Perfect for my Springfield M1A with a Bassett mount (which has a fairly short Picatinny rail), and Nikon scope. When I ordered the rings, I wasn't sure if both rings would have the extension. They did, which really helped. Not sure why rings cost this much, but the Weavers aren't markedly more than some others.
Pros: Perfect fit, easy installation, solid construction.
Cons: None.
