I bought this scope for my Marlin 30-30. It has an excellent field of view and when the scope is on low power I can see my gun barrel. The rubber power ring is super easy to grip. The scope is very small and compact. The adjustments are positive and the tracking is true. The glass is very clear and sharp. The scope also performs great in low light and has allowed me to identify deer in the woods I could not see at all without the scope.

There are some cons though. When mounting the scope as low as possible to the bore, the hammer of the 336 hits the large power ring, therefore defeating the purpose of the small objective and required me to use a medium ring. The eye relief is short for a low power scope and is approximately 3.5" on low power, therefore less on high power. I would not recommend this scope for a high recoiling rifle. The power indicator is on the left side of the scope at 9 o'clock and the numbers are intended to be read from the left side. Makes it a little difficult for a left handed shooter to easily see what power the scope is on. Overall this is a great quality scope for the money and I would buy again.

The free bag is very nice, too. Much bigger than I expected.

Cons: For my application shorter would be better
