Not a Leupold but...
I have one of these, a Weaver GS 4.5-14X40 and is has been a companion to my Leupold 4.5-14X40 30mm M4. Assigning an arbitrary optical rating of 10 to the Leupold the Weaver would rate a good 9. My Weaver GS cost 1/2 the amount of the Leupold. The numbers wore off the Weaver GS rubber rings about 8 years ago, the numbers wore off the adjustments about the same time.
The adjustments are very precise, the scope will focus down to 50 feet or so, making it good for RF use, it maintains zero despite expected tough hunting use, power changes are easily done with the ugly rubber ring, same for focus changes.
A tiny Philip fastener driver is need to set adjust to zero after rifle is zeroed but adjustments are precise and positive.
I like it and have confidence in it.

i chose this scope over many that were similar in power and price based on the heaviness of the "dual-x" reticle as represented on weaver's website. when i opened the box, i was very disappointed to see the reticle was no heavier than any other normal duplex. regardless, i love the scope and i'm not disappointed in quality.
