I sent this scope in because it would shoot all over the target. Once dialed in at 50yd. 3/8" group. Setup for 100yd, I set the scope at 12x and set the parallex to 100yd and bullets are hitting all over the target. A 12" spread all over the place. I sent the scope back to Weaver and told them it hits all over the place and not in the same place. They sent it back said it was okay. I thought maybe it was the barrel. I tried a different scope, it is the Weaver scope that is bad.

Great scope for the money, Turrets have nice crisp audible clicks. Had it zeroed in about 4 rounds, then zeroed at 200 yards..Reticle works the way it is supposed to with 55 gr 5.56 ball. Only reason for giving it 4 stars is the side focus is a little finicky and takes some getting used to. Other than that it is a great scope for hunting.
Pros:
- clear glass
- reticle appearance

I thought that this being a 30mm tube would hold up much better. Approximately 100 rounds of 300 win mag was a death sentence for the scope the internal lens broke. Ok glass in it and the turrets are nice. Never have had any luck with any illuminated reticle so did not even put the battery in. Hope the replacement/repair goes ok.

I got this scope and put it on my 22-250 and sighted it in. But I was gonna take it out to shoot today and the crosshairs are turned at and angle and I have no idea why the scope is super tight on the rings! Is there anyone else that has this problem?

Good scope for the money. The reticle has just enough features without being cluttered. The mil dots are a useful plus after learning how to use them. The illumination is also a plus. This scope is set up for a 223 with 55 grain bullets drop. And the cross-wind markers are a plus.

I have owned Weaver scopes for years and they've never let me down. However I cannot find a sunshade for this model, so if anyone can help let me know. Bought this scope for a new Remington 700 short action 308 cal. and it performs great, adjustments are about what I expected, each click can vary a touch but not so much that you'll be off target, I was holding 3/4 groups at 300 yds. in a 15-20 wind and it proved itself reliable. Still it needs a sunshade for those bright days.

I needed an illuminated reticle, and this scope has that. I may have wanted a Leipold, but who can afford one of those? I haven't yet had the chance to take it to the range, but hope that will be a rewarding experience.

Weaver has been making great scopes for a long time, I have a lot of high end optics and just didn't have the money for a big name optics right now for my new builds! I went with the Weaver because of price and reticle and was very impressed, glass is very clear for not being expensive, turrets work well and over all very decent scope! Giving it 5 stars for a inexpensive optic, it is definitely worth the $200!
