As soon as I received my scope in the mail, I got it mounted up on my Savage 10 in .308 Winchester and headed out to the range. I quickly bore sighted it, and fired two shots with some Hornady 168 grain BTHP handloads to see where it was, made my measurements and dialed it in. Took two more shots,...

So, this is kinda of an odd review so I will just be straight with you. I ordered the 3-12x50mm model and the boxed stated that this was the model. However, inside the box was the Weaver Kaspa 3-9x40mm scope with ballistic-x reticle. This turned out to be a good thing for me as the smaller objective...

Very clear scope. Holds a great zero on my 308. Turned out to be a way better scope than I imagined. I would recommend this scope to any one for hunting or target shooting. Am very glad I went with the kaspa instead of other more expensive scopes out there it's a great quality scope besides it says made in China

Very good scope I place on my Model 70 .30-06 because my older eyes just don't see as well with the peep sight any longer. Sighted it in and with it I can put the lead on the target.
You don't need to spend large $$ to get a nice well made scope for you hunting weapon, unless of course YOU want to, isn't America great!!
Pros:
3x12@50mm
Cons:
Haven't found any cons
Best Used for:
Shooting and hunting
Would recommend: Yes

Really nice scope. Great eye relief so there's no fear from recoil which will help accuracy especillay for new shooters so they don't get intimidated. Holds zero with very few adjustments when trying different bullets. Great scope for the price and really good to deal with Optics Planet.
Pros:
Clear, bright optics
eye relief at 50 - 100 yards
Cons:
Mounting hardware (minor)
Best Used for:
Hunting/Target
Would recommend: Yes

This is my second Weaver scope. Excellent value for the money. Good clear image and decent eye relief for a 12X scope. Holds zero well. Currently used on an AR15 which requires a suitably high scope mount to clear the 50mm objective lens. My only issue involves the adjuster knobs. The ad says turrets are adjustable wearing gloves. What that means is they don't have a coin slot but rather a narrow wheel with a serrated edge. You still have to remove the turret caps to get to the adjuster wheel. The top of the adjuster wheel has clearly labeled click graduations but the indicator arrow for adjusting UP or R is printed on the narrow side of the wheel directly over the serrations, making it hard to read - can barely tell which way the arrow head is pointing or make out the letter R on the windage turret. So the adjuster is more convenient than using a coin but if you want to be reminded which direction to turn the knob, you'll need to scribe that on the top of the wheel like every other scope does.
Pros: Clear image, holds zero
Cons: Adjustment knob issue
